Registered Physiotherapist, FCAMPT

Hello, I'm Mitch.

I help people move better and hurt less. In the clinic and in the boardroom, I work with individuals and corporate teams across Canada to tackle the injuries that desk work creates, and keep them from coming back.

Mitchell Starkman, Registered Physiotherapist FCAMPT

Why I built this.

Early in my career I worked in Toronto's Financial District. Day after day, I saw the same patterns: neck pain from screen posture, shoulder tension from mouse use, low back problems from sitting eight hours without a break. Same injuries. Same root causes. Over and over.

Most clinics treated these problems in isolation. Fix the shoulder, send them back to the same desk, watch them return in six weeks. I wanted to do it differently. So I started writing about it. That writing became Desk Jockey Physio.

Today I work with individuals and companies across Toronto and virtually across Canada. I treat the whole body, ask about your actual work setup, and teach you what you need to stay better. Not just feel better for a few weeks. Real solutions. Long-term.

My philosophy

Evidence-based, always.

Every technique I use is supported by current research. No unnecessary treatments. No magic gadgets.

Whole-body thinking.

Your shoulder pain might start at your hip. I look at the full picture, not just where it hurts today.

Built around your actual life.

Your job, your schedule, your body. The plan fits your real life, not a generic protocol from a textbook.
