Toronto Physiotherapy for Desk Workers.

Mitch Starkman is a Toronto-based registered physiotherapist (FCAMPT) who specializes in the injuries desk workers get. Not just treats them. Understands why they happen, and fixes the root cause.

Physio that actually fixes things.

Desk worker injuries are different from sports injuries. They build slowly, involve posture and repetitive strain, and keep coming back when treated in isolation. This is how Mitch approaches them differently.

Treat the cause, not the complaint.

Your neck pain might start at your thoracic spine. Your shoulder problem might come from how you sit. Mitch looks at the whole picture before deciding what to treat.

Built around your actual work setup.

Most physio doesn't ask about your desk. Mitch does. What your chair looks like, how long you sit, whether you're on a laptop all day. That context changes the treatment.

Real solutions that last.

The goal isn't to get you feeling better for two weeks. It's to understand what's driving the problem and fix that. You leave with tools you can use, not just a schedule of follow-up appointments.

What Mitch treats.

Primarily desk workers, but Mitch treats anyone dealing with pain that keeps coming back. A wide scope of conditions, all approached through the same whole-body lens.

  • Neck pain and stiffness from screen posture
  • Shoulder pain and rotator cuff problems
  • Low back pain from prolonged sitting
  • Wrist and forearm pain from keyboard and mouse use
  • Tension headaches and eye strain
  • Hip pain and hip flexor tightness
  • Knee pain in desk workers and runners
  • Nerve pain and radiculopathy
  • TMJ and jaw pain
  • Postural correction and movement retraining

FCAMPT designation

Mitch holds the Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) designation. It requires a 5-year post-graduate fellowship and is held by fewer than 1% of Canadian physiotherapists. It is the highest clinical designation in manual therapy in Canada.

What patients say.

Mitch is a fantastic physiotherapist whose passion for sharing his knowledge is unrivaled. After trying everything else, he relieved the neural pain shooting down my arm. His genuine concern for your well-being puts him above other providers. I wholeheartedly recommend Mitch.

Chris F.

It takes a special team to motivate someone through recovery at 7:30AM on weekdays, and Mitch was incredible to work with. Knowledgeable, took the time to explain my recovery path, and made the process fun. I'm back to running and couldn't be more grateful.
